Malware Threats Sharply Rising With Creations of New Variants

McAfee has identified nearly 250,000 new malware threats till H12008 and believes that the spurt in malware threats is because of use of point-and-click tools. These tools facilitate even technically deficient people to create new variants of malware, trojans and bots quite easily, as reported by FlyingHamster.

The McAfee Researchers revealed that hackers have been using "surf-by" attacks since mid-February 2008. They insert iframes into legitimate Websites that manipulate systems of users browsing them. Moreover, there are some renowned sites with banner ads, linking to servers that conceal malicious code and exploit.
