China Netcom DNS Server Found with Serious VulnerabilityWebsense, an online security vendor, said that China Netcom, one of the largest Internet Service Providers (ISPs), has been found with a dangerous vulnerability in its Internet's addressing system. The problem was discovered by Dan Kaminsky, a security researcher, in the Domain Name System (DNS), as reported by NETWORKWORLD on August 21, 2008. As per the warning released by Websense, the DNS attacks are negatively affecting the subscribers of China Netcom (CNC) and utilizing a malicious iFrame to exploit existing vulnerabilities in Microsoft Snapshot Viewer, RealNetworks' RealPlayer and Adobe Flash Player.
