IRS Networks Linked To Unauthorized Web Servers Endanger Tax PayersAccording to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), unsanctioned and vulnerable Web servers linked to Internal Revenue Service's computer network compromise the whole network of the organization and may expose taxpayers' private details. As per the TIGTA, there are around 2,093 Web servers run by IRS having a minimum of one flaw and 540 of them contained more than one flaw, making them more unsafe. The report discovered 1,811 unauthorized internal servers linked to the agency's network. Around 1,150 of those servers were being employed for non-business uses.
