New Flaw Found in Opera Browser

Security researchers have discovered one more security flaw in Opera browser that could affect users' computers. According to Aviv Raff, Security Researcher, the latest problem relates to the non-validation of user input by the "history search" Web page. This leaves the computer user exposed to an exploit that executes remote code, as reported by SCMagazine on October 30, 2008.

Raff explained that an attacker could create a special Web page that would open the "history search" page automatically to exploit the flaw. Thus, when a potential victim accesses this page, a Trojan is quietly downloaded on his system.
