Kaspersky Released October 2008 Top 20 Malware Threat ListKaspersky Security Network has announced its list of top 20 malware, based upon the most common globally spread malevolent programs. As per the list, October 2008 witnessed nearly all sort of malware and probably unnecessary programs, consisting of a couple of adware, script worm and a variety of Trojans. Trojan Downloader.WMA.Wimad.n, being the most prevalent malevolent program in October 2008, occupies the topmost position in the list. Taking advantage of a flaw in Windows Media Player, this malicious program facilitates the downloading of various other Trojan programs into the infected machine.
