One Half Million Attempts Reported of Downloading Rogue Apps from Google’s PlayMalware is familiarly spread through fake apps; however according to one security researcher, he has known of over one half million end-users who downloaded rogue apps that pretended to be driving games while contained in Google's Play Store.
During the recent years, malicious software for Android powered devices has been increasing. Lukas Stefanko security researcher from ESET has discovered thirteen applications on Google Play all of which carried malware. Stefanko says that over 560K people have taken down these applications directly from the Play prior to Google
There has been previous instances too when malware crept into Android apps. Those instances pertain to the Monero gathering malicious program, the Loapi malicious software and the Facebook infiltrating malicious software, all created for Android.
