Microsoft Patched 28 Bugs Through its December Security BulletinMicrosoft released its December 2008 security bulletin consisting of eight patches to fix 28 vulnerabilities affecting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. These vulnerabilities are exploited by remote attackers to launch malicious attacks against victims' computers. The security researchers at Microsoft state that 6 of the patches fixing 23 vulnerabilities are rated as "critical", implying that potential attackers could remotely run malicious code leading to the shut down of a victim's computer or to gain complete control of the system.
